1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing and using Postulit, you agree to:

• These Terms of Service
• Our Privacy Policy
• All applicable laws and regulations

If you don't agree, please don't use our service.

2. Service Description

Postulit is a browser extension that:

• Helps you generate personalized CVs based on job postings
• Optimizes your CV for Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
• Integrates with LinkedIn for seamless job application workflow

3. User Responsibilities

You Agree To:

• Provide accurate information
• Use the service for lawful purposes only
• Comply with LinkedIn's Terms of Service
• NOT use the extension for automated scraping or bulk data collection
• NOT attempt to reverse-engineer our software
• NOT share your account credentials with others

You Understand That:

• CV generation is a tool to assist you, not a guarantee of employment
• You remain responsible for the accuracy of your CV content
• Final CV review and approval is your responsibility before submission

4. LinkedIn Integration - Critical Disclaimers

Our Relationship with LinkedIn:

• Postulit is a third-party browser extension
• We are NOT affiliated with LinkedIn
• We operate independently from LinkedIn
• LinkedIn has NOT endorsed our service

How We Interact with LinkedIn:

• We read publicly available job postings that you choose to view
• We do NOT perform automated scraping or crawling
• We do NOT violate LinkedIn's robots.txt or rate limits
• All actions are user-initiated and manual
• We respect LinkedIn's Terms of Service

Your Responsibility:

• You must have a valid LinkedIn account
• You must comply with LinkedIn's Terms of Service
• Using Postulit does not exempt you from LinkedIn's rules
• Any violation of LinkedIn's terms is your responsibility

5. Intellectual Property

Our IP:

• Postulit name, logo, and branding are our trademarks
• Our AI algorithms and software are proprietary
• All extension code and features are protected by copyright

Your IP:

• You retain all rights to your CV content
• By using our service, you grant us a limited license to process your CV for generation purposes only
• We do NOT claim ownership of your personal information or career data

Third-Party IP:

• LinkedIn, the LinkedIn logo, and related trademarks are property of LinkedIn Corporation
• We use "LinkedIn" only to describe our extension's compatibility
• Job posting content belongs to respective employers

6. Acceptable Use Policy

Prohibited Activities:

• Using bots or automation with our extension
• Attempting to access other users' data
• Bulk downloading or scraping job data
• Reverse engineering our technology
• Violating any platform's Terms of Service (LinkedIn, etc.)
• Sharing false or misleading CV information
• Reselling or redistributing our service

7. Subscription and Payments

Free Trial/Tier:

• Limited CV generations per month
• Basic features included
• May be modified or discontinued

Paid Subscriptions:

• Pricing clearly displayed at checkout
• Billed monthly or annually
• Auto-renewal (can be cancelled anytime)
• No refunds for partial months (except as required by law)

Cancellation:

• Cancel anytime from your account settings
• Access continues until end of billing period
• No refunds for unused time

8. Disclaimers and Limitations

Service "As Is":

• Postulit is provided "as is" without warranties
• We don't guarantee job placement or interview success
• CV optimization suggestions are algorithmic, not human career advice
• ATS compatibility estimates are not guarantees

No Liability For:

• Job application outcomes
• LinkedIn account issues or restrictions
• Third-party platform changes (LinkedIn API, design, etc.)
• Data loss due to technical issues (we recommend backups)
• Employment decisions made by recruiters or employers

Limitation of Liability:

• Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the last 12 months
• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Some jurisdictions don't allow these limitations (they may not apply to you)

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Postulit harmless from:

• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of LinkedIn's or any third-party's rights
• Your CV content or job application materials
• Any misuse of our service

10. Service Modifications

We reserve the right to:

• Modify or discontinue features (with notice when possible)
• Update pricing (existing subscribers grandfathered for 60 days)
• Change these Terms (we'll notify you of material changes)
• Suspend service for maintenance

11. Account Termination

We May Suspend/Terminate If:

• You violate these Terms
• You engage in fraudulent activity
• Your account is inactive for 12+ months
• Required by law or legal process

You May Terminate:

• Anytime by deleting your account
• No penalties or fees for cancellation
• Data deleted within 30 days (except as required by law)

12. Platform Changes & Force Majeure

LinkedIn Changes:

• If LinkedIn changes their platform, design, or policies, our extension may be affected
• We'll make reasonable efforts to maintain compatibility
• We are NOT responsible for disruptions caused by LinkedIn's changes

Force Majeure:

• We're not liable for delays/failures due to circumstances beyond our control
• This includes: natural disasters, internet outages, third-party platform changes, government actions

13. Dispute Resolution

Governing Law:

• These Terms are governed by French law
• EU regulations (GDPR) apply for data protection

Disputes:

• First, contact us at support@postulit.com for resolution
• If unresolved, disputes handled through French courts
• EU users may use ODR platform: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr

No Class Actions: Disputes resolved individually, not as class actions (where permitted by law)

14. Miscellaneous

Entire Agreement: These Terms and our Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement. Supersedes any prior agreements.

Severability: If any provision is invalid, the rest remains in effect.

No Waiver: Our failure to enforce a right doesn't waive that right.

Assignment: You can't transfer your rights. We may assign our rights to successors.
